Mexico Cafe De mujeres

Bella Vista, a small municipality in Chiapas, Mexico, near the Guatemala border, is known for its stunning highlands and fertile clay soil. Rosalba Cifuentes Tovia, founder of Mayan Harvest Coffee, collaborates with local producers, many of whom are family and neighbors, to enhance coffee production practices and secure better prices. Her efforts support the community with medical and dental aid. Rosalba's organization now includes about 100 producers, 60 of whom are women. She established “Cafe de Mujeres” (Women’s Coffee) to empower women in Bella Vista's communities, addressing the challenges of male chauvinism in the region. This initiative seeks to uplift and showcase the work of women coffee farmers.
